1. Introduction and Purpose

 

This is the Privacy Policy governing your use of the IngredientsHub’s websites, platforms, services and applications (collectively referred as the "Sites" or the “Services”) and the collection, use, transfer and processing of personal information, you submitted to our Sites or Services (collectively referred as the “Personal Information”), by ChemCon International Ltd. and our affiliates (collectively referred as "IngredientsHub", "ChemCon", "we" or "us").

 

By using our Sites or Services, you consent to our Privacy Policy (this document). All terms not defined in this document have the meanings ascribed to them in the Terms and Conditions of Use between you and IngredientsHub which by use of our Sites or Services you agree to accept.

 

User’s Personal Information provided to or gathered by IngredientsHub is controlled by ChemCon. If you have any concern about providing a Personal Information to us or having such information displayed on the IngredientsHub’s Sites or Services or otherwise used in any manner permitted in this Privacy Policy and the Term and Conditions of Use, you should not become a User of IngredientsHub’s Sites and Services. If you have already registered, you should close your account.

 

The cornerstone of the IngredientsHub is to focus on our Users and maintaining their trust is our top priority. For that reason we protect your Personal Information and will only provide it to third parties:

  • if your agree to do this,
  • if it is necessary to carry out your requirements,
  • if it is reasonably necessary in order to provide IngredientsHub’s features, applications and functionality to you,
  • if it is permitted by law or regulation,
  • if another User has submitted Copyright Violation Claim against your User Content,
  • if it is reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms and Conditions of Use or protect the rights, property, or safety of IngredientsHub, Users our Sites and Services, and the public.

 

IngredientsHub may implement appropriate security safeguards or use commercially reasonable security methods designed to protect your information in accordance with industry standards in cooperation with third parties and to prevent unauthorised access, maintain data accuracy and ensure a correct use of Personal Information.

 

The Sites and Services are not intended to be targeted to people under 18 years old. However, we have no way of distinguishing the age of individuals who access our Sites or Services and so we carry out the same Privacy Policy for individuals of all ages.

 

We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time, and if we make material changes to it, we will provide notice through our Sites or Services or by other means so that you may review the changes before you continue to use the Sites or Services. If you object to any changes, you may close your account anytime. However, continuing to use our Sites or Services after we publish or communicate a notice about any changes to the Privacy Policy means that you are consenting to the changes.

 

2. Types of collected personal information

 

1.1. Registration

 

At the time you register to become a User of the Sites or the Services, you will be asked to complete a registration form which requires you to provide information such as your first name, your last name, email address, password, your company or organization name (if you are owner, employee or have any other relationship with that body), your position and responsibility within the company/organization, country and sometimes other personal information ("Registration Information").

 

You may be asked to provide further information about yourself during the registration process (for example, your gender, languages and more specific location). We will use this additional information to provide you with more customised Sites and Services, updates, content and more relevant ads.

 

We may also ask for your credit card details if you purchase certain IngredientsHub’s Paid Features.

 

You understand that, by creating an account, IngredientsHub and others will be able to identify you by your User Account, and you allow IngredientsHub to use this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions of Use.

 

1.2 User Account and Contact Details

 

After you create an account, you may choose to provide additional information on your User Account, such as:

  • your photo/picture,
  • descriptions of your skills, professional experience, and educational background in About me field,
  • choose your occupation or proficiency in “I am an expert in” field,
  • mark your area of interest in “Interest area” field.

 

If you wish other Users contact you also outside our Sites or Services you can add more personal contact information to your Contact Details. There can be:

  • your phone number,
  • your mobile phone number,
  • your fax number,
  • your location (city/town),
  • your nicks on Skype or QQ,
  • your LinkedIn profile link.

 

Providing additional information on your User Account or to your Contact Details is an option for you and you may or may not filled all or part of available there fields. You can also hide some of your Contact Details by setting appropriate Privacy level during Contact Details editing.

 

Providing additional information to your User Account and contact information to your Contact Details enables benefit more from IngredientsHub and allows contact you through other communication channels. It also enables us to serve you more specific ads and other relevant content on and off IngredientsHub’s Sites or Services.

 

You can modify additional information anytime.

 

From time to time, our corporate Users may disclose personal data deliberately or inadvertently including without limitation to personal identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, and IP address of Users in the course of using the Sites or Services.

 

1.3. Invitations and Relations

 

We providing a template to send invitations to your contacts that have not registered with IngredientsHub and we may suggest people you may know but who may not be in your IngredientsHub contacts (“Relationships”).

 

IngredientsHub may also use this information to show you and other IngredientsHub Users that you share the same Relationships to somebody who may or may not be IngredientsHub Users. Please note that when you send an invitation to connect to another person, that person will have access to your email address because it is displayed in the invitation. IngredientsHub will also remind you of pending invitations. Your Relationships will also have access to your email address.

 

IngredientsHub may also develop additional features or tools that allow Users to use their IngredientsHub account in conjunction with other third-party services, where Personal Information can be transferred, for example, sync tools for adding contacts from your email box, social media account or mobile device to your Relationships at the Sites or Services. If you grant these tools permission to access your email accounts, they will access your email header information in order to match it to IngredientsHub and other public social media profiles. IngredientsHub’s tools that sync with external email services will also temporarily cache message content for performance reasons (the cached message content will be temporarily cached in a way that is unreadable by IngredientsHub and its service providers).

 

You can remove your Relationships at your convenience anytime.

 

1.4. Communication with IngredientsHub

 

When you contact us, contact IngredientsHub’s Help Center or you make any Report (submit a Feedback, Report a Fraud or others), we collect information that helps us categorize your question, respond to it, and, if applicable, investigate any breach of our Terms and Conditions of Use or this Privacy Policy. We also use this information to track potential problems and trends and customise our support responses to better serve you.

 

1.5. Using IngredientsHub’s Sites or Services

 

We collect information when you use the IngredientsHub’s Sites or Services. For example, we collect information when you publish any User Content, join and participate in Groups, make any submissions, post any opinions, blog entries or add forum topics.

 

We record and retain the records of your activities on the Sites or Services. For example, we collect information when you view or click on ads, participate in polls, install a IngredientsHub’s software, and share Content on IngredientsHub.

 

1.6. Using Third-Party Services

 

We receive information when you use your IngredientsHub account to log in to a third-party website or application. We may use this information to recommend tailored, customised or personalised content to you.

 

When you visit a third-party site that embeds IngredientsHub plugins we receive information that those pages have loaded in your web browser.

 

IngredientsHub may provide reports containing aggregated impression information to companies hosting IngredientsHub plugins and similar technologies to help them measure IngredientsHub-generated traffic to their websites.

 

1.7. Cookies

 

We use cookies and similar technologies, including mobile device identifiers, to help us recognise you, improve your IngredientsHub experience, increase security, measure use of our sites and Services, and serve an advertising. For more information please read Cookie Policy.

 

1.8. Payments

 

If you establish a credit account with us or our providers or representatives or if you purchase a product or service from IngredientsHub or if you purchase a Paid Features from our Sites or Services or from other Registered Users of the Sites or Services or other vendors available through the Sites or Services, we may collect additional information, including billing information, credit card numbers and expiration dates and tracking information from cheques or money orders ("Payment information").

 

1.9. Advertising and Marketing

 

We target ads to Users both on and off IngredientsHub’s Sites or Services. We may use a variety of ad networks, ad exchanges and third-party partners, which we may use to help deliver ads more relevant to you.

 

We can use advertising technologies like web beacons, pixels, ad tags, cookies, and mobile identifiers.

 

In an advertising, we may use information from your User Account, User content or history of your activity on the Sites or Services.

 

We do not share personally identifiable information with any third-party advertiser or ad network, although your User Account is visible to other IngredientsHub Users and can be visible (your name, your company/organisation, About me) through public search.

 

IngredientsHub ads that are delivered into third-party sites contain the label “Ads by IngredientsHub.”

 

From time to time, we may gather information about our Users and prospective users during trade shows, marketing events, and other functions for follow-up marketing purposes.

 

1.10. Logs and Statistics

 

When you visit or leave IngredientsHub by clicking a hyperlink, an ad or view a plugin on a third-party site, we may automatically receive:

  • the URL of the website from which you came or the one to which you are directed,
  • IP address of your computer or the proxy server that you use to access the website,
  • your computer/mobile operating system details and your type of web browser or mobile device,
  • the name of your ISP or your mobile carrier,
  • your location data passed to us from third-party services or GPS-enabled devices that you have set up.

 

In addition, we gather Statistical Information about our Sites and Services, as well as, Users. For example used by User software and hardware attributes, pages viewed, a number of sessions, frequency and time of User visits, a number of unique Users, number of anonymous visitors and so forth.

 

1.11. Other

 

IngredientsHub’s Sites or Services are dynamic, innovative environments, and we are always seeking to improve them to offer you the best solutions. We may introduce new features and functionalities, some of which may result in the collection of a new type of information.

 

Our partnerships or acquisitions or created new IngredientsHub Affiliates may result with collection new types of information.

 

2. Use of your Personal Information

 

By providing Personal Information to us when you create or update your User Account and Contact Details, you are expressly and voluntarily accepting the Terms and Conditions of Use and freely accepting and agreeing to our processing of your Personal Information in ways set out in this Privacy Policy.

 

You are conscious that any information, data, submissions, that you provide to us, and your activity on the Sites or Services, may reveal or allow others to identify aspects of your life that are not expressly stated in your Personal Information.

 

Supplying information to us, including any information deemed “sensitive” by applicable law, is entirely voluntary on your part.

 

You have the right to withdraw or modify your consent to collecting and processing of the information you provide at any time, in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Use, by changing your settings, changing your User Account, changing your Contact Details or by closing your account.

 

We use your Personal Information to provide you excellence experiences during using our Sites and Services, to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, to statistically analyse the Sites or Services usage, to improve our content and product/services offerings and to customize our Sites or Services content, layout, features and applications specifically for you.

 

We may use your Personal Information to service your Account with us, including but not limited to investigating problems, resolving disputes and enforcing our Terms and Conditions of Use.

 

We may use your Personal Information to facilitate proper operation of our Sites or Services and business activities of its Users including without limitation to a facilitation of effective communication between Users and marketing activities of Users. We may provide your Personal Information to IngredientsHub Affiliates and service providers under contract (such it may be customer care) to support the operation of the Sites or Services.

 

We do not otherwise sell, rent, trade or exchange any personally-identifying information of our Users.

 

We may share your Personal Information with IngredientsHub Affiliates.

 

We may share certain aggregate information based on analysis of Personal Information of Users of the Sites and Services with our partners, customers, members, advertisers or potential Users.

 

Your Personal Information may be transferred, stored, used and processed outside your home jurisdiction.

 

In the case of an acquisition or transfer of business to another business entity, you have to change your Personal Information with respect to our Terms and Conditions of Use and this Privacy Policy.

 

We may use your Personal Information to execute marketing campaigns, promotions or advertising messages on behalf of third parties; however, in these circumstances, your Personal Information will not be disclosed to such third parties unless you respond to the marketing, promotion or advertising message.

 

Using any of Personal Information by any of our User are subject to privacy laws in the respective jurisdictions of our Users. Each of our Users is solely responsible for observing applicable laws and regulations in its respective jurisdictions to ensure that all use of the Sites and Services are in compliance with the same. Each of our Users is expressly prohibited from using any Personal Information for illegal activities including without limitation to spamming.

 

2.1. Registration Information and information about your activity

 

We may use your Registration Information to provide the Sites and Services that you request or to contact you regarding additional services, applications, solutions about which IngredientsHub determines that you might be interested. Specifically, we may use your email address, mailing address, phone number, mobile number or fax number to contact you regarding notices, surveys, product alerts, new service or product offerings and communications relevant to your use of our Sites or Services. We may generate reports and analysis based on the Registration Information for internal analysis, monitoring and marketing decisions.

 

We may use also information about your activity on the Sites or Services to provide the best solutions, features, value-added services and applications for you. We may also generate reports, statistics and analysis based on your activity to enhance and improve our Sites and Services. We may also use information about your activity to determine your creditworthiness, trustworthiness and credibility. We may use this information to providing buying pattern and buying behavioural data to our Users to facilitate marketing initiatives and decision-making processes.

 

2.2. Communicates and messages

 

We can communicate with you through email, notices posted on the Sites or Services, messages to your IngredientsHub's message box, mobile text messages, post/mail letters, phone/fax messages, newsletters and other ways available through the Sites and Service.

 

Our communicates may contain promotional information directly or on behalf of our partners, including products/services offers, events announcements and news from companies or Business Networks, notices about new applications, features, functionalities and solutions available on our Sites and Services. These messages will be sent to you based on your User Account information and messaging preferences.

 

Many communications that you initiate through IngredientsHub will list your name and may list your email address in the header of the message. Messages you initiate may also provide the recipient with aggregate information about you (information displayed on your User Account). Other communications that you initiate through the Sites or Services, like a "Forward information about me" or "Request for an Introduction", will list your name as the initiator and will include your personal email address contact information. Once you have been related to any User, your Personal Information will be shared with that User.

 

2.3. Payment Information

 

IngredientsHub will share your Payment Information with banks or vendors relevant to the transaction in order to enable transactions to be completed. In addition, IngredientsHub may use Payment Information to determine your credit-worthiness and, in the process of such determination, IngredientsHub may make such Payment Information available to banks or credit agencies.

 

While IngredientsHub using technology and internal procedures to guard your Payment Information against intruders, there is no guarantee that such technology or procedure can eliminate all of the risks of theft, loss or misuse. IngredientsHub shall not be liable to you or any other person for any damages that might result from unauthorised use, publication, disclosure or any other misuse of Payment Information, including credit card information.

 

2.4. Customized Content

 

We use information that you provide to us to customise your experience and the experiences of others on the Sites and Services. We are displaying Personal Information, you has provided to us, and additional information about you on your User Account as default. The same you can see information about Users on their User Accounts. There can be:

  • list of represented companies,
  • list of joined Business Networks,
  • list of managed presentations of Products,
  • list of managed presentations of Services,
  • list of your Trade leads,
  • list of organised or attended Events,
  • list of places or events where you can meet with somebody,
  • your Contact Details,
  • follow links to your profiles on other websites,
  • statistical information about you,
  • list of topics you declare to be an expert,
  • list of topics you are interested in.

 

You may choose the parts of your information will not be visible to other Visitors by completely opt out of this feature in your User Account settings or leave User Account fields empty.

 

You may choose your User Account page will be displayed to the public Internet and search engines or completely opt out of this feature in your User Account settings. However, third-party search engines may not automatically update their caches, which may contain old information for while.

 

We also use aggregated information from your network to show you content, such as news relevant to you, your industry, or your profession.

 

All customised information about your submissions, includes your name, date of submission and date of last update ("Publishing Information") will be publicly available on the Sites and Services and therefore accessible by any User. Any Publishing Information that you disclose to IngredientsHub becomes public information and you relinquish any proprietary rights (including but not limited to the rights of confidentiality and copyrights) in such information.

 

2.5. Sharing Information with Affiliates

 

We may share your Personal Information with our IngredientsHub Affiliates to provide you with other our services, applications and software. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you are consenting to this sharing.

 

We may establish relationships with third parties to offer you the benefit of other products and services which we ourselves do not offer. We may offer you access to these products and services through hyperlinks to their websites from our Sites or Services. In some cases, you may be required to submit Personal Information for purposes of registering or applying for products or services provided by such third parties. The privacy policy of such third parties may differ from our Privacy Policy, and we may not have any control over the information that you submit to such third parties. We, therefore encourage you to read third party's privacy policy before responding to any offers, products or services provided by such third parties on our Sites or Services.

 

2.6. Sharing Information to the public Internet

 

IngredientsHub sharing some information to the public Internet. There are:

  • your name, your company/organisation, About me description,
  • name and overview of a Company, a Publisher, a Product, a Service or a Publication,
  • title and description of a Trade lead,
  • name and description of a Business Network,
  • title and description of an Event,
  • title, description, country, a name of a company, contact details of a Job offer,
  • title and descriptions of posted Information (for example, News article, Community Alert, Promotion action, Classified Ad, Innovation or Novel product/service, Bog entry, Forum topic, Urgent question, Market research survey, Cooperation request, Distributor Wanted request).

 

These parts of information will be indexed and displayed through public search engines when someone searches for them. You may choose the parts of your information will be displayed into the public Internet and search engines or completely opt out of this feature in your content settings on content Edit tab. However, third-party search engines may not automatically update their caches, which may contain old information for while.

 

Content distributed through IngredientsHub and third-party sharing features and integrations available on the Sites or Services may result in displaying some of your Personal Information outside our Sites or Services (for example, when you share content from IngredientsHub to Twitter). In that case, you will be granting a third party the right to store, access, disclose and use your IngredientsHub Personal Information in the ways described in such third party's terms and privacy policy.

 

We do not rent or sell Personal Information that you have not posted on IngredientsHub, except as described in this Privacy Policy.

 

We will not disclose Personal Information that is not published to your User Account or generated through engagement with other our services unless IngredientsHub has a good faith belief that disclosure is permitted by law or is reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with a legal requirement or process, including, but not limited to, civil and criminal subpoenas, court orders or other compulsory disclosures,
  • enforce this Privacy Policy or our Terms and Conditions of Use,
  • respond to Copyright Violation Claim and Counter-Notice,
  • respond to User service inquiries,
  • protect the rights, property, or safety of IngredientsHub, our Users, or the public.

 

IngredientsHub may support archiving solutions providers which, with your permission, facilitate the archiving of your communications and other IngredientsHub activity by a third party for compliance purposes. In that case, your Personal Information will be transferred to the third party.

 

2.7. Developers Using IngredientsHub Platform Services

 

We may collaborate with Developers to offer additional services, applications and functionalities ("Third Party Features") in conjunction with IngredientsHub. All Developers have to consent to an agreement ("Dev Agreement") to use IngredientsHub technology and develop Third Party Features available later on our Sites and Services. Dev Agreement contains restrictions on how Developers may access, store, and use the Personal Information you provide to IngredientsHub.

 

2.8. Cookies

 

A cookie can be sent to your computer or mobile device only if you access our Sites or Services. We use cookies, for example, to identify you and enable us to access your information so you do not have to re-enter it. However, you can determine if and how a cookie will be accepted by configuring your browser's which is installed on the device you are using to access the Sites or Services. You can accept all cookies, you can be notified when a cookie is sent, or you can reject all cookies. If you reject all cookies by choosing the cookie-disabling function in your browser, you may be required to re-enter your information on our Sites or Services more often and certain applications, features or solutions of our Sites or Services may be unavailable.

 

2.9. Market research surveys

 

Market research surveys may be conducted by IngredientsHub, Users, or third parties. Some third parties may target advertisements to you on the results page based on your answers in the Market research survey. IngredientsHub or third parties may follow up with you via message regarding your participation unless you have opted out of receiving messages.

 

If third parties require your contact information, you may be asked to provide Personal Information. We, therefore encourage you to read third party's privacy policy before responding to Market research surveys provided by such third parties on our Sites or Services.

 

2.10. Search

 

You can search for Users, Companies, Products, Services, Events, Business Networks, solutions, alerts from IngredientsHub database. We use Personal Information from IngredientsHub, including User Account and User Content, to inform and refine our search service.

 

2.11. Groups

 

If you participate in Businesses stands, Business Networks stands, Products presentations, Services presentations, Events presentations or other groups on the Sites or Services ("IngredientsHub Groups"), you should be aware that any information you choose to disclose using these services can be read, collected, and used by other Users and other third parties. IngredientsHub is not responsible for the information you choose to submit in IngredientsHub Groups.

 

These IngredientsHub Groups and any communications or information shared through them are available for IngredientsHub Users. Some content in IngredientsHub Groups may be public and searchable on the Internet (see section 2.6).

 

If you join/attend/follow an IngredientsHub Group, you will be listed among the IngredientsHub Group members/attendees/followers, which can be viewed by IngredientsHub Group managers or may be viewed by IngredientsHub Group members.

 

IngredientsHub may use aggregate information about members/attendees/followers and viewers to provide data about the page’s performance.

 

You can unpublish your IngredientsHub Groups and information posted there at any time. However, others may have copied and used the information that you shared before. If this option is not available to you, please contact us and request unpublishing. 

 

2.12. Testimonials

 

If you provide any testimonials about our Sites or Services through the IngredientsHub, we may post those testimonials to third parties. Testimonials may include your name and other Personal Information that you have provided.

 

2.13. Statistical Information

 

We may generate reports and analysis based on the Statistical Information for internal analysis, monitoring and marketing decisions.

 

We use Statistical Information to help diagnose problems with and maintain our servers, to manage our Sites or Services, and to enhance our Sites and Services based on the usage pattern data we receive.

 

We may provide Statistical Information to third parties, but when we do so, we do not provide personally-identifying information without your permission.

 

2.14. Disclosure of information

 

We may need to disclose your Personal Information or information about your activities on our Sites or Services to the third parties when:

a) required by law, subpoena, or other legal processes, or if IngredientsHub has a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

  • investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist government enforcement agencies,
  • identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be infringing or threatening to infringe, or who may otherwise be causing injury to or interference with, the title, rights, interests or property of IngredientsHub, our Users, customers, partners or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities,
  • enforce the Terms and Conditions of Use, investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, or protect the security or integrity of our Sites and Services system,
  • exercise or protect the rights, property, or safety of IngredientsHub, our personnel, our Users or the public.

b) we sale of the assets of ChemCon International Ltd., IngredientsHub Affiliates, a subsidiary, or division, or as the result of a change in control of ChemCon International Ltd. Any third party involved in that process (transfer or sell ChemCon International Ltd. assets) will have the right to continue to use the Personal Information, your activity history and other information that you provide to us in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy.

 

3. Your Rights

 

You have a right to:

  • access, modify, correct, unpublish your Personal Information, your User Content and any other your information submitted to us,
  • remove, delete, unpublish your Account, your User Content and any other your information by contacting us (if that option is not available for you).

 

If you close your account, your Personal Information will generally be removed from the Sites or Services within 24 hours. We generally delete closed account information and will de-personalize any logs or other backup information within 30 days of account closure. User Content associated with closed accounts will show an unknown user as the source. However please note that any information you have shared with others (for example, through messages, content sharing, or IngredientsHub Groups) or that others have copied may also remain visible after you have closed your account or unpublish the information.

 

You may not be able to access, correct, or eliminate any information about you that other Users copied or exported out of our Sites or Services, because this information may not be in our control.

 

Your public information may be displayed in search engine results until the search engine refreshes its cache.

 

4. Data Retention

 

We retain the Personal Information while your account is in existence or as needed to provide you Sites or Services, support-related reporting and trend analysis. IngredientsHub may retain your Personal Information even after you have closed your account if retention is reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations, meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes between Users, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions of Use.

 

5. Security

 

As a Registered User, your Personal Information can be viewed and edited through your Account which is protected by Password. We recommend that you do not divulge your Password to anyone. Our personnel will never ask you for your Password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited e-mail. If you share a computer/mobile device with others, you should not choose to save your log-in information on the device. Remember to log out of your Account and close your browser window when you have finished your session.

 

We have implemented security systems designed to protect the Personal Information that you provide in accordance with industry standards. To protect any data you store on our servers, we also regularly monitor our system for possible vulnerabilities and attacks.

 

No data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be perfectly secured. As a result, while we try to protect your Personal Information, no website or company, including ourselves, can absolutely ensure or guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.

 

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

 

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time.

 

Any significant changes to this Privacy Policy will be communicated to you by message or by notice to you or will be published on the Sites or Services.

 

Our posting the amended and restated Privacy Policy will make such new Privacy Policy immediately effective.

 

You agree that all Personal Information and any other your information or information about your activity on the Sites or Services will be governed by the newest Privacy Policy then in effect.

 

Please review the changes carefully. If you agree to the changes, simply continue to use our Sites or Services.
